What Do I Do When There’s a Pop-Up Saying “Patron Not Found”?

If you scan a patron’s card and a pop-up message appears stating Patron Not Found, usually this means the patron’s barcode needs to be added to his or her account.

First, make sure you are in the Voyager window that says “CU CIRC MULLEN” in the bottom right corner.

Click “Patron,” and search for the patron using the name on the patron’s cardinal card. Select the patron.

Right click on the window “Patron ID ___.” Click “Edit Patron.”

Click the “Barcode” tab.

Scan the patron’s card. Hit Save.

Close the Patron window and scan the card as normal.

If, during any of these steps, you aren’t sure how to proceed, ask a full-timer.
